Convoy

So, for some reason yesterday Facebook decided that my blog was spam and would no longer allow me to cross post it. Some people have teased me repeatedly about my loyalty to Livejournal; but the truth is my blog has been there for almost twelve years (it originally started just after Christmas in 2004) and so I was not only used to it, everything was archived  there….and almost twelve years is a lot of writing.

A lot of writing.

But if my blog is no longer going to cross-post, what was I to do? So I opened this account on WordPress, and yes, it’s weird. I am going to have to take the time to learn how to use this properly–because I just have so much free time–and hopefully, I will be able to keep it all here from now on. I am in the process of downloading all of my posts from livejournal, so that I have them, safe and sound and archived, in my own personal files…hey, who knows? Maybe out of all those blog posts, I can pull together a book about writing or something, you never know. But it’s still an incredible pain in the ass, and I don’t like the font choices here, either. This one is the closest I can get to Times New Roman, and I also have to figure out how to configure the page itself into something I like.

What a pain in my ass.

But change can be good, and people keep telling me how much I am going to love WordPress, so there it is.  And here I am.

And what annoys me is knowing that probably, within a day or two, I’ll find out it’s a glitch and I didn’t need to come over here after all.

But…you know what? All things must come to an end at some point, right? Change is good, right?

Heavy heaving sigh.

We’ll see.
